How important is Breakfast? Well, how important is gas to your car? Without gas your car isn’t going anywhere. It may run a little on whatever is in the reserve, but soon enough it’s a goner!

Your body works in a similar way. If you don’t fuel it properly you’ll start feeling lethargic, light-headed, winded and tired. After sleeping and fasting all night, your body goes through all the calories you consumed the day prior. Upon waking up, you’re running on empty. Breakfast gives your body the energy it needs to function properly throughout the remainder of the day – that’s why it’s the ‘most important meal of the day’.

The benefits of eating a hearty good breakfast every morning are too good to look over. Invest the time to make yourself something to eat, but if you don’t have time don’t worry! Breakfast doesn’t have to be anything fancy. It can be as simple as a piece of fruit like a banana or an apple. If you have a couple of minutes make yourself a bowl of cereal, some yogurt with granola, some oatmeal with just a pinch of cinnamon or peanut butter. Time is not the issue!

If you don’t like breakfast foods, who said you have to eat them? Breakfast can also be lunch items or dinner plates (as long as their deemed healthy of course). There are various options out there so there shouldn’t be an excuse as to why you’re skipping breakfast.¬†Fuel your body first thing in the morning and you’ll see what a difference it’ll make.
