Ginger Spencer

I have always been an active person, running track in high school and majoring in Adult Fitness in college. After college, I was a personal trainer and spin class instructor. Following a couple cross country moves, I ended up in Texas. I first tried CrossFit in February 2013 when the gym I was attending added CrossFit. At the time CrossFit was added, I was participating in boot camp. The gym stopped offering boot camp and gave a discount for me to take the fundamentals course for CrossFit. I was procrastinating trying CrossFit because I knew it was more expensive than a normal gym. I knew if I tried CrossFit, I would be hooked. CrossFit has been worth every penny I have spent. I love that all the workouts are continuously varied and intense. CrossFit challenges me in ways no other sport has before. I love feeling and looking strong. I am a very competitive person and CrossFit is perfect for me. I have competed in 9 competitions as both an individual and member of a team.
I started at CrossFit Equality in August 2016 after recovering from a major injury. Ann, the coaches, and other members have been very supportive and I became interested in coaching as a way to share my desire for health and fitness with others. Now that I am a member of the CFE family, I want to help all members improve their quality of life and be as healthy as they possibly can by improving their weaknesses and becoming better athletes.
