I found CrossFit Equality through Hugh and Jennifer McCrea who were members at the box. My first impression was how out of shape I was from a strength and cardio perspective. I still have days where I still wonder if I ever will get the cardio to make the workouts easier!
CrossFit has provided me a place where I can decompress from work and at the same time maintain my health and fitness.
Outside of the gym, I like to golf and wakeboard. Sometimes I’ll participate in triathlons here and there.
My favorite memory at CrossFit Equality was the first year I did the CrossFit Open Intramurals. Just so much energy and camaraderie made this a fun filled event!
Finishing each workout is truly an accomplishment, but understanding the way different food affects my body is probably the most important. I think it’s really important to understand that, however hard it may be since I love to eat.
If you are just getting started or new to CrossFit give it a try and keep a positive attitude. Don’t let others people’s opinions affect your outlook on what CrossFit can do for you!
